CREA-LSC Primera plataforma de materials didàctics interactius per a l’aprenentatge autònom de l’LSC

CREA-LSC First platform with interactive teaching materials for the self-directed learning of Catalan Sign Language

CREA-LSC is an online platform for people of all ages and the first to offer interactive and self-correcting teaching materials for learning and practising Catalan Sign Language (LSC). It features a series of interactive capsules that touch on subjects such as fables, senses and geography, presented in sign language and in which the questions and answer choices are also in this language.

These automatic question and answer materials have been developed using the Kaltura tool, by a team of twelve deaf and hearing individuals. The CREA-LSC provides cutting-edge material that previously did not exist in today’s national and international context.

This project is the brainchild of the UPF Actua Centre for Catalan Sign Language Studies, in cooperation with the Barcelona Education Consortium’s Pere Barnils Educational Resource Centre for the Hearing Impaired.

Project coordinator and presenter at NODE UPF: Gemma Barberà
