The Platform, and the results shown, are the result of twelve uninterrupted years of research on the Continuous Sample of Work Lives (MCVL), funded by the Health Research Fund of the Carlos III Health Institute (FIS / FEDER PI08 / 0914- PI11 / 01470- PI14 / 00057- PI17 / 00220) and led by Fernando G. Benavides.

The WORKss Platform is an instrument whose objective is to monitor the impact of employment conditions and social protection on the health of working people. For this, the annual incidence rate of permanent disability (IP) and premature mortality (MP) has been estimated in a sample of 753,341 Spanish Social Security affiliates born between 1950 and 1979 according to sex, occupation and economic activity. These results will be updated as the annual data is available for the Continuous Sample of Work Lives (MCVL) provided by the General Directorate of Social Security Management of the Secretary of State for Social Security.
