In a constantly changing world of work, especially in relation to employment conditions (contract, salary, duration, hours, etc.), it is necessary to adopt a life course perspective to identify the causes, and their possible solutions, of work-related health problems.
This line of research is based on the Continuous Sample of Working Lives (MCVL), which includes administrative records of annual samples of approximately 1 million affiliates to the Spanish social security and since 2004, and on which we have built the WORKss Cohort.

The WORKss cohort  currently includes more than 1.5 million people affiliated to the Spanish Social Security,  is updated annually through the Continuous Sample of Working Lives (MCVL).

On the WORKss platform (http://www.cisal.upf.edu/workss/esp) tables and figures with the demographic, labor, and health characteristics of the cohort can be viewed. The cohort is part of the European project COST OMEGA-NET.

Furthermore has been recognized with uninterrupted competitive funding from ISCIIII since 2008 to date with 5 consecutive FIS / FEDER projects in relation to Subprogramme 6 "Health and social burden of the disease" of CIBERESP
