13th Ignasi Fina Award for Labor Health

On February 12, the City Council of Barcelona delivered the 13th Ignasi Fina Prize for Occupational Health at Vall d'Hebron University Hospital of the city. This has been done in recognition of the mindfulness program that the center applies to attend to professionals working in the field of intensive care, which are usually subjected to situations of emotional and interpersonal stress. The Ignasi Fina Prize for Labor Health, endowed with 6,000 euros, was established in 2006 in memory of this council, with the aim of promoting the introduction of improvements in safety and health in the workplace. Thus, it seeks to recognize annually the best experience of action in the prevention of occupational hazards within a city company, which has introduced new innovative systems, which are durable and have demonstrated their effectiveness in daily practice. During the ceremony, which was held at the Hall of Cent of the City Council with the presence of Deputy Mayor of Social Rights, Laia Ortiz, and the Commissioner for Health and Functional Diversity, Gemma Tarafa . In addition, the creation during the year 2018 of the Observatori de Salut i Treball of Barcelona has also been explained. This observatory, promoted by the Occupational Health Advisory Council and coordinated by the Public Health Agency of Barcelona, ​​aims to collect all available information about health and work in the city and to prepare an annual publication, becoming This is how the main source of information on this issue is in Barcelona.
