Researchers from CISAL-UPF, presented yesterday at the ICAM headquarters the report "Incidence of temporary incapacity for common contingency (ITCC) to a sample of affiliates to the General Social Security System in Catalonia, 2012-2014", in the framework of the collaboration agreement launched in 2012 between CISAL, ICAM and Social Security for the connection and exploitation of administrative information sources of the Continuous Sample of Vidal Laborales (MCVL) and the records of the labor incapacities in Catalonia .

The objectives of the report were: 1) To reorient the study of temporary disability by common contingency (ITcc) by adding the incidence rate as a complementary indicator to the duration, in order to generate a useful tool for monitoring the longitudinal analysis of ITcc that includes information related to the career path, 2) continue to systematically connect the records of the MCVL of Social Security with those of ITcc of the ICAM from 2015 onwards.
