COST Action OMEGA-NET - The Network on the coordination and harmonization of European occupational cohorts

Occupational health focuses on the relationship between work and health. Therefore, it refers to the individual employee as well as the organization or the employer. Occupational epidemiology focuses on research on the health risks of workers derived from the workplace. In general, these involve the monitoring of groups of workers or cohorts and involve the evaluation of the workplace and other exposures.

The general concept of OMEGA-NET is to create a network to optimize and integrate occupational, industrial and population cohorts at a European level, and provide a basis for an improved evidence base for the identification of risks and health benefits related to occupation. and Employment to promote safe and healthy preventive strategies and policies.
