As well as degree's specific competencies, the FHLS has always encouraged the learning of cross-disciplinary programmes through different activities (Educación Médica 2005; 8(4): 216-225). Likewise, the FHLS has as institutional target for all graduates to be competent in four relevant skills: public speaking in front of an audience, good writing skills, teamwork and gathering information using new communication technologies.

The Tutorial Action Programme Tutorial Action Programme carried out during the degree course has been especially designed in order to achieve these goals. Students must build a portfolio to improve these skills and to demonstrate their achievements at the end of the studies.
