Back De Lluny (2023-2024)

De Lluny (2023-2024)

Imatge inicial

De Lluny is a performative installation in progress, a "walking film" that questions the traditional formats of cinema, exhibition architecture and the editorial canon.

A film that is not projected on a screen, but develops, leaves the projector and the black room and, like a living object, occupies an entire exhibition space (white cube), so that the spectator's gaze is no longer directed towards a fixed point: to see the film it will be necessary to walk through it, to accompany it, to decipher it.

De Lluny also imagines a film that is no longer made of celluloid, but of paper from old encyclopaedias (current waste), unbound and manipulated. And a printed information that is no longer stable (nor are the definitions contained in it), but is veiled until it disappears, and where new narratives are revealed. A film that, through the effect of light, is transmuted and recycled.

In short, De Lluny is inscribed in the genealogy of expanded cinema and questions what we understand by film, by spectator and by history.

This performative installation project is currently under development within the framework of the Workshops Area (2023-24).
