Albert.DATA: Slowly Fading into Data
Albert.DATA, the new artistic identity of Albert Barque-Duran –artist and researcher in Creative Technologies and Digital Art–, will, during his time #In Residence, explore different experimental artistic expressions (installations, Live A/V, etc.) using an 8-bit retro console, his medium for the past two years in Slowly Fading into Data. A transformative journey about the meaning of being human, the boundaries of experience, existence and identity. An experimental narrative-driven, interactive, action-adventure game (and a retro synth!).
Slowly Fading into Data was designed to challenge standard audiovisual production methods by combining “low-tech” (8-bit retro console) with “high-tech” (artificial intelligence and procedural sound design) in gaming technologies.
