UPF TIDE

Coordinators

The University Pompeu Fabra is a public, international and research-intensive university that, in just twenty-five years, has earned a place for itself among the best universities in Europe.  It is one of the 7 fastest-rising young universities in the world. The Interactive and Distributed Technologies for Education (TIDE) Research Group is part of the University Pompeu Fabra’s Department of Information and Communication Technologies (DTIC). TIDE is led by a Full Professor, Dr. Davinia Hernández-Leo, and includes a team of 15 members including a senior researcher, a postdoctoral researcher, PhD students, research assistants and a developer. TIDE research lies at the intersection of human-computer interaction, network and computer applications, and learning sciences.

C.E. Dolmen

Dolmen Study Centre (CE Dolmen) is a subsidised centre with the Department of Education of the Generalitat de Catalunya for the baccalaureate education and vocational training courses. The official degrees  offered at the centre are the disciplines of science and technology, humanities and social sciences in baccalaureate and vocational training courses of Administration and Finance, Infant Education, Clinical and biomedical laboratory, Dietetics, and Auxiliary nursing care.
Founded in 1982, CE Dolmen aims to train, guide and accredit students in accordance with the aims and objectives set out in the educational laws and the identity of the centre, in order to achieve the knowledge, skills, attitudes, values and capacities that will facilitate their integral development as individuals in society.

CE Dolmen with around 450 students and a faculty of 32 teachers presents a permanent commitment to improving the quality of its educational services, rooted in L'Hospitalet de Llobregat and with multiple relationships with the counties of Barcelonés and Baix Llobregat . We aim to be a centre committed to people and their interests in education, working for equity and inclusion and for our students to be responsible, competent and critical people and to contribute to the progress and development of our society.

Our centre is defined as integrative, non-discriminatory, democratic, secular, Catalan, progressive, respectful of all cultures and ideologies within the framework of democratic coexistence. It is involved in improving the quality of teaching and services it provides to its students and ensures that the relationship between people in our educational community is guided by tolerance, freedom, responsibility, inclusion, dialogue and respect for the environment.

Universidade de Vigo

The Universidade de Vigo is a young and dynamic institution that offers a wide range of training programs in the three specialized and innovative campuses in the municipalities of Ourense, Pontevedra and Vigo. You will find more than 30 centers for training and research, as well as facilities for sports and leisure, with a continuous cultural program. We also have the Campus of International Excellence Campus do Mar lead by the Universidade de Vigo and which adds more than 3000 researchers, forming a cross-border network of research and knowledge with the sea as a driving force. In our campuses you can study 121 official degrees and masters, 39 doctoral programs, 7 joint programming degrees and 4 degrees with mutual recognition agreements with foreign universities. We also offer hundreds of programs, events, workshops and language courses and, of course, our Seniors university program.

SEK Atlántico

SEK International School Atlántico is a private school belonging to IESEK (with 10 schools in Spain, Ireland, France, Qatar and UAE, plus one University). Established in 1989, we are located in Poio, a small municipality just across the river from Pontevedra (one of the four provincial capital cities in Galicia, our region). We host +725 students from Early childhood to pre-University (6 months old to 18 YO) and our curriculum develops in parallel National and International Baccalaureate (IB) programmes and we are NEASC (New England Association of Schools and Colleges) candidate. The Department of Education Sciences focuses on issues relating to educational leadership, inclusive education and technologies of learning and communication for both teaching and research - both national and international - purposes. The Department collaborates with a large number of scientists, researchers from the educational field in Cyprus, Greece and other European countries. The Department of Education is staffed by distinguished personnel (faculty and special teaching personnel), with important national and international activities in the areas of Educational Sciences, as well as public presence in educational happenings in Cyprus. Since its foundation the Department focuses on high quality education both within and outside the University, seeking to prepare professionals and researchers in Cyprus and abroad. Alongside their involvement in a number of European and local research programs, and their engagement in a plethora of activities, the School’s Faculty members actively contribute towards the fulfillment of the School’s vision for a humanitarian education and research excellence. The research interests of the Department Faculty focus primarily: - teaching methodology including blended methods of learning and distance learning, - educational policy, - inclusive education (policies and practices), - inter/multicultural integration and learning, and - social literacy, sociology and anthropology of education. The Department’s Faculty is involved in individual as well as team works pertaining to various national and international activities and projects.

Lykeio Archangelou Apostolos Markos

LYKEIO ARCHANGELOU APOSTOLOS MARKOS (LAAM) is a public high school in the suburbs of Nicosia, the capital of Cyprus. It is a modern educational institution situated in a quiet and green neighborhood next to the Pedieos river. Our school hosts around 600 students aged between 16-18. Eighty-three teachers work at our school, most of which full time. The curriculum offers our students the chance to choose one out of six orientations, each emphasizing on: Classical studies, sciences, economics, commerce-related subjects, foreign languages, and art.

Klassenskolen Hillerod

10. Klasseskolen Hillerød is the municipality of Hillerød’s offer to young students who have graduated from 9th grade. The 10th grade school year serves to qualify the students to enter into further education such as high school, technical high school, vocational schools etc. The school employs about 17 teachers and three administrators. Since being founded in 1999 the school has developed and been a part of a wide range of pedagogy and learning approaches. As a part of the school system in Hillerød the school now works from a narrative systemic approach with the students and focuses on inclusion as well. The school was a part of the Erasmus + Spotlighters project.
