The Psychological Counseling Service (SAP) offers completely confidential and free counselling, through arranged visits, between a minimum of 4 and a maximum of 6 visits, at the discretion of the therapist.

SAP has the goal of favoring the student adaptation in the college lifestyle, facilitating personal stability and also academic efficiency. Helping the student to understand, think and change facing it’s new reality.

SAP is addressed to bachelor and postgraduate UPF students that need psychological orientation.   

SAP offers free and confidential service.

  • Direct assistance: psychological orientation; individual interviews about orientation and support.
  • Indirect assistance: valuation of redirecting to other public and private mental health institutions.

Redirecting to professional orientation: speech therapist, psychiatrist, pedagogue and other experts.

The most frequent motives of consultation are adjustment problems, anxiety, social interaction issues, learning problems, phobias, relationship issues, abuse, grief, concentration problems, depression, familiar problems and sexual identity problems.

You can use the service four times maximum. They might be extended to six times if the therapists decides.

Make an appointment.

If you are unable to attend an appointment that you have already booked, please cancel it at least 24 hours in advance. The therapists will be able to organize themselves and someone else who needs it can make an appointment.

SAP offers free and confidential service.

Our specialists are psychologists and psychotherapists with a lot of experience:

  • Thursday from 15.15h to 19.45h (Nick)

The waiting time, since the user requests the appointment until the visit day, might vary from 10 to 12 days.

Below you can find some brief directions to get to the SAP office:

1. Access the Ciutadella Library.

2. Continue straight through the central corridor of the library​.

3. At the end of the central corridor, on the left hand side, we find the access to the Library tower. If you have mobility problems, we can provide you with an elevator key at the library counter.

 

 

Once the free visits with the SAP have run out, thanks to a collaboration agreement between the University and the Vidal i Barraquer Foundation's Medical Psychological Center, you can access their care services at a reduced price. These visits are completely confidential.

The visits will have a minimum duration of between 45 and 60 minutes, depending on the format of the visit, therapy or follow-up.

All assistance activities can be carried out in the following languages: Catalan, Spanish, English, French and sign language.

The prices agreed between the Vidal i Barraquer Foundation and the UPF are:

  • Individual-first visit: 77 euros
  • Individual Diagnostic Consultation: 77 euros
  • Individual-follow up: 65 euros
  • Couple or family: 77 euros

It will be necessary to report the link with the UPF so that the price of the agreement can be applied.
