Imatge inicial - Participants of the Christmas Meetup held on 20 December.

Nearly 150 UPF bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral degree graduates residing in more than 30 countries around the world participated in the Worldwide Alumni UPF - Christmas Meetup. The gathering, held on the Ciutadella campus, took place on 20 December coinciding with their return home for the Christmas holidays.

It is the first edition of this event, which was conceived to be held annually and is another step towards building the UPF international community, which has already taken shape through the UPF Alumni Chapters project. The Chapters are groups of former UPF students in different parts of the world (currently eight have been set up).

The idea behind the Worldwide Alumni UPF - Christmas Meetup is to raise awareness among alumni residing around the world that they can return to their University to generate new links and connections with other people who studied at UPF and have undertaken international careers in multiple fields and professional sectors.

The first edition of this event was hosted by Mireia Dilmé, a program manager at Google with an extensive international career in California and Ireland and an alumni of the bachelor’s degree in Business Sciences-Management  (2016); and Albert Martínez, strategy & planning manager at AILEY (New York) and an alumni of the bachelor’s degree in Advertising and Public Relations (2017).
