He has been a professor at the Universidad Carlos III de Madrid, a tutor-professor at UNED, and a visiting researcher at the Istituto di Studi del Lavoro of the Università degli Studi di Milano, the 'Bartolomé de las Casas' Human Rights Institute at the Universidad Carlos III de Madrid, and the Centro Studi di Diritto del Lavoro Europeo 'Massimo d'Antona' at the Università degli Studi di Catania. Additionally, he has served as a consultant for the Labour Law and Reform Unit (LABOURLAW) of the International Labour Organization and as Chair of the International Network for Pensions Research (INPeR).
