The student of the Master in European and Global Law, Ignacio Portela Giráldez, has obtained the first prize for the best Master's Thesis in Planetary Welfare 2022, for his work "Enforcing Carbon Major's liability for climate change: A comparative study of tort law based climate litigation in the Netherlands and Spain". The TFM has been tutored by Ángel José Rodrigo Hernández, obtaining a score of 89 points and a prize of 1.000 euros.

This award for the best Master's Thesis in Planetary Welfare is jointly organized by the UPF, the UPF-BSM and the UNESCO Chair in Life Cycle and Climate Change ESCI-UPF.

The awards ceremony for the TFG and TFM in Planetary Wellbeing will be held on Wednesday December 21 at the Poblenou Campus of the UPF.
