On April 20, 2026, we hosted an engaging lecture by Dr Lucia Cavallaro, Assistant Professor of Data Science at Radboud University. This session was designed for prospective EMAI candidates and focused on "Infection Spread on Graphs."

Participants from Peru, Argentina, the Philippines, Spain, and numerous other countries had the opportunity to attend a presentation on modelling the spread of infection using graphs. This example illustrates how concepts from the natural world can inspire computational innovation and enhance our understanding of complex phenomena.
