As Henri Cartier-Bresson said, a single photograph is a frozen, eternalized moment. Two photographs, on the other hand, can become a poetics. With this premise, we proposed this book, which contains different views on the same topic: photographic poetics. But why poetics, in plural? Simple. Because each one builds his own poetics, individually, in his own way and according to his own taste. Evidently, when it comes to developing such poetics, we do it so that someone can see it. However, and without a doubt, whoever does it thinks of himself and then thinks of the others. The book, Photographic Poetics, presents nine articles and a visual essay that offer to the reader complementary, sometimes conflicting views on the value of photographic images at the beginning of the 21st century.
