The Legal Clinic is participating in the drafting of a proposal to reform the Catalan Law on the rights and opportunities in childhood and adolescence, alongside third-sector entities and law firms.

The Legal Clinic of Pompeu Fabra University has joined a working group to prepare a proposal for the revision of Law 14/2010 on the rights and opportunities in childhood and adolescence (LDOIA), within the framework of a Multilateral Project coordinated by the Fundación Pro Bono España.

The project involves the participation of the Plataforma d’Infància de Catalunya (Catalonia Childhood Platform) and several law firms, with the goal of developing a regulatory change proposal to update Catalan childhood legislation in light of new social and legal challenges.

According to the working document, the LDOIA has become partially obsolete. The plan is to analyze models from other autonomous communities —such as Law 2/2024 of the Basque Country—, study the constitutional and jurisdictional framework, and formulate specific amendments accompanied by the corresponding legal arguments and statement of purpose.

The project outlines a work schedule between February and June 2026, including phases for planning, comparative analysis, drafting an initial proposal, and a final joint review. It integrates faculty and students from the Clinic in collaboration with teams of lawyers and social organizations.
