From 14 to 17 October 2025, the Facultad de Ciencias de la Información (Universidad Complutense de Madrid) hosted the international conference Children, Youth and Media in the Algorithm Conundrum of Play, Polarization and Hate.

Dr. Mónika Jiménez Morales, Senior Lecturer at Pompeu Fabra University and coordinator of the CAS research group, took part as a keynote speaker with the lecture “Mental Health in the Age of Algorithmic Play: Navigating Risks, Building Resilience”.

The event brought together scholars and practitioners to discuss the challenges and opportunities that algorithmic infrastructures pose for children’s play, creativity, and well-being.
