As the project approaches its finalisation on 31 January 2026, the steering committee of TRAILS held its final transnational meeting in Barcelona, Spain, on 26–27 January 2026. Partners from Universitat Pompeu Fabra (Spain), Tallinn University (Estonia), Kokoro Association (Portugal), and Associació de Mestres Rosa Sensat (Spain) reviewed the main outcomes, discussed the initiative’s impact on target groups and at different levels, and reflected on the sustainability strategy beyond its lifetime.

The meeting concluded with a final symposium for educators entitled “TRAILS from Practice: Responsible Uses of AI in the Classroom.” Hosted by Associació de Mestres Rosa Sensat, the event marked the official closure of the TRAILS project. It aimed to disseminate key results, present the teacher digital platform, showcase teachers’ experiences, and foster discussion on the responsible use of AI in teaching and learning. The programme featured presentations from project partners and an invited speaker, Miquel Àngel Prats. The event brought together around 30 educators and was very positively received, with participants showing particular interest in the TRAILS platform and its potential for continued use in educational practice.

Over its 27 months, the project generated a wide range of tangible results. It delivered three three-day international training events in Barcelona, Tallinn, and Porto, alongside teacher professional development workshops in three countries that engaged more than 140 participants. In parallel, the team developed a multilingual online platform for teachers, available in five languages, which now connects over 240 registered users and provides access to a library of tools, case studies, and a professional development toolkit. Dissemination efforts further extended the project’s reach, resulting in three academic publications and several national symposia in Spain, Estonia, and Portugal, which together engaged a total of 335 educators.
