The European Higher Education Area supposed academic and organizational changes related to the competence-based learning. The AlineaME project, coordinated by the Unit of Support to Teaching Quality and Innovation of the Polytechnic School - University Pompeu Fabra, proposed teachers of ICT engineering degrees and pedagogues a joint reflection in order to develop recommendations focused on the aligning between the three key project elements: competences, methodology and assessment (C*M*A). This paper presents three cases of implementation of recommendations, specifically Telematics Engineering (two cases - Universidad de Valladolid and Pompeu Fabra) and Computer Science Management (one case - Universidad de Sevilla).

The first recommendation applied referred to the need of making explicit the alignment between C * M * E in the teaching plans and presenting that alignment to students. The second one was about the integration of the assessment as a learning process. The methodology for their implementation was (with minor differences) similar in all the three cases. The application of the first recommendation consisted in explaining in the teaching plan the alignment between C * M * E and directly to the students in first session of the course. The application of the second recommendation was oriented towards including some training tasks favoring the peer assessment. To evaluate the application of both recommendations evidences regarding the students' and teachers' satisfaction were collected. Specific evaluation instruments were designed for that purpose.
