PhD Research Day
The main goal of the “Translation and Language Science Research day: Pre-doctoral poster sessions” is to publicly show the research done in the framework of the doctoral theses of doctoral students that are currently being carried out in the Department of Translation and Language Sciences. It is a training activity in which doctoral students present the current state of their research in a poster format, in a scientific and attractive way at the same time. The training activity includes a previous activity on the preparation and presentation of posters that doctoral students attend and, subsequently, the individual elaboration of the poster. Among all the posters presented, three are selected, based on the following criteria: clarity and quality of the presentation (use of images, color and graphical symbols), scientific rigor and originality. The jury is made up of two representatives of the Academic Committee, the doctoral coordinator, the tutors of the cohorts involved and the doctoral students themselves. The final on-site session combines the presentation of all the posters and the short oral presentation of the three posters selected.
