Specific characteristics of the Degree of Humanities

The Degree of Humanities' objective is to train you as a cultured and versatile university student, able to interpret current societies with your own judgment, and especially prepared to adapt to professional requirements of a dynamic and complex society.

Therefore, you will be provided a solid and global training in various humanties disciplines, especially history, art, literary studies, and thought, which will allow you to make an informed approximation to the contemporary world through transversality and multiculturalism. You will explore the evolution of essential values that have shaped western civilization and, at the same time, you will get to know other traditional cultures, such as Arab world cultures, Asian cultures or African cultures.

 

Specific characteristics of the Degree of Global Studies

The Degree of Global Studies is thought as an educational offer open to students from all around the world that are interested in understanding those phenomena -cultural, economic, legal, environmental, political, social and technological- that affect us, regardless of our precise geographical location, and a global vision of the human being.

Timetable organization

Subjects of 6 ECTS take place three days a week: on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.

Subjects of 4 ECTS take place two days a week: on Tuesdays and Thursdays or Mondays and Wednesdays.

All sessions last 2 hours.

Students are enrolled in their corresponding theoretical group (1, 2, or 3). The sessions of the schedules with numbers from 101 to 304 correspond to the seminars of the theoretical groups.
