UPF ART TRACK
What is UPF ART TRACK?
UPF Art Track was born on May 18, 2016, International Museum Day, within the framework of the 25th anniversary of Pompeu Fabra University, as an original way to open to the public its artistic heritage, binding university, art and culture.
It is a stimulating stroll through the emblematic buildings of the Ciutadella campus, where visitors can enjoy the creations of contemporary artists of international projection: the MBM architects (Josep Maria Martorell, Oriol Bohigas and David Mackay), Antoni Tàpies, Roy Lichtenstein, Isaac Cordal, Susana Solano and Frank Trepax, among others. The visitor will also be fascinated by the spectacular building of the Water Depot and its current library, considered one of the ten most impressive in the world.
This year, ten years after the opening of Art Track and on the occasion of the 35th anniversary of UPF, the visit incorporates an audio guide so that the visitor does not miss any detail of the pieces of the collection. This includes two versions of the tour – on the one hand, a selection of the most relevant pieces; on the other, a more exhaustive tour of all the stops – adapting to the rhythm and the needs of each visitor.
UPF Art Track is part of Google Arts & Culture.
Guided tours for groups
The guided tours are designed so that visitors can enjoy the spaces and the works to the maximum. The circuit, which is adapted for people with reduced mobility, lasts approximately 1 hour 30 minutes. We will announce the visit dates for the 2026–2027 academic year soon.
We can offer visits on other working days and at different times, as long as groups of at least ten people request it. In this case, you must contact arttrack.upf.edu. During the months of July, August and September, since there is no academic activity, no visits will be made.
