A modern seaside campus in the centre of Barcelona

UPF is located in the centre of Barcelona and can be easily accessed with public transport: underground, train, tram, Bicing (the local bike-share programme), etc.

Moreover, its campuses are near the beach and 22@, Barcelona’s tech district.

At UPF, class sizes are small

UPF has the lowest student per classroom ratio in the entire public university system for lectures. Furthermore, all of its bachelor programmes include seminars designed to facilitate learning and the practical application of theory. These seminars help students acquire the skills and competences they need for a successful career and enable close contact with the lecturer.

UPF offers students the chance to enhance their education with time abroad

UPF offers you the chance to study at foreign universities through Erasmus exchange programmes (European universities) and bilateral agreements (universities in the rest of the world), as well as to do internships elsewhere in Europe through the Erasmus programme.

The UPF Library is considered one of the best in Spain

The Library is open 360 days a year until the early hours of the morning. Among other services, it allows you to request articles from foreign publications and borrow books from any university library in Catalonia within 24-48 hours. It also offers laptop and audiovisual equipment loans free of charge.

UPF is a multilingual university

UPF has three working languages: Catalan, Spanish and English. Although there are no specific English language requirements to enrol (except for the Faculty of Translation and Interpreting programmes), we recommend attaining level B2 in English by the end of your second year to make it easier for you to follow certain subjects.

UPF also offers classes in Arabic, Catalan, Chinese, English, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Russian and Spanish, as well as level tests and certification exams to help students determine and certify their language skills.
