Jordi Delclós is a professor retired at the Epidemiology, Human Genetics and Environmental Sciences Division of the School of Public Health of the University of Texas at Houston and associate professor at the Pompeu Fabra University of Barcelona, ​​where he is also a researcher at the Center research in Labor Health (CISAL). He earned a degree in medicine and surgery from the University of Barcelona in 1981. He has the specialties of internal medicine, pneumology and work medicine in the United States, a master's degree in public health at the University of Texas and a doctorate in health and life sciences UPF. It maintains active collaborations in education and research in Spain, Latin America and the United States. Since 2016, "Distinguished Teaching Professor" and member of the Kenneth Shine Academy of Health Education of the University of Texas System in the United States.

Dr. Delclos divides his time between clinical practice focused on the work of respiratory diseases, education and research. He is a NIOSH consultant, mainly in matters of pneumoconiosis and occupational asthma. Its research is currently focused on 3 areas: a) work and the environment (epidemiological and clinical aspects of asthma), b) the determinants of temporary disability international aspects of occupational health and c) national surveys of working conditions and health. He has been the principal investigator of numerous research projects in the United States and Spain, and has published more than 228 articles in scientific journals arbitrated.
