Padilla López, Leyre

Leyre is a Junior Researcher at RECSM for the WEB DATA OPP project. She holds a PhD in Human Rights from the University of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU) and is a criminologist specialized in victimology and restorative justice. Her academic and professional background includes work at the Basque Institute of Criminology, Aranzadi Zientzia Elkartea, and international Human Rights organizations.

She has specific training in trauma-informed victim support and criminal profiling, and her research has focused on structural violence, armed conflict, online victimization, and historical memory processes. Among her key areas of interest are digital exploitation and the recruitment of minors through social media, topics on which she has published peer-reviewed work.

Her work bridges applied and academic research with focus on Humans Rights, victim protection, and emerging forms of digital violence.
