Dr. Pierluigi Conzo will be visiting the RECSM

We are pleased to announce that Dr. Pierluigi Conzo will be visiting the Research and Expertise Centre for Survey Methodology  (RECSM-UPF) from 13/09 to 26/09. 

Pierluigi Conzo is a tenure-track Assistant Professor at the Dept. of Economics & Statistics “Cognetti de Martiis” (Univ. of Turin) and affiliate at Collegio Carlo Alberto. He studied Political Science at Bachelor’s and Master’s level at the Univ. of Naples Federico II. Then he received the MSc in Development Economics and the PhD in Economic Theory & Institutions at the Univ. of Rome “Tor Vergata”. His research topics are at the intersection between different social sciences and include social preferences (e.g. trust, altruism, volunteer work), subjective well-being and development (e.g. microfinance, civil war and natural disasters). He use experimental- and applied-economics methods such as fieldworks, lab-experiments, policy evaluation and analysis of survey data. I founded and currently lead CLOSER (Center for LabOratory Simulations and Experimental Research) with the aim of bringing together psychologists, sociologists and economists in the analysis of human behaviour.
 
Dr. Conzo will be working with RECSM co-director Bruno Arpino on the long-term effects of  World War II on individuals' health and attitudes.
