VIDAA
VIDAA is a web based platform developed in Universitat Pompeu Fabra (UPF) in collaboration with Hospital Clínic de Barcelona, Hospital de la Santa Creu i Sant Pau and Rigshospitalet
in Denmark. VIDAA’s aim is to help clinicians with Left Atrial Appendage Occlusion (LAAO)
planning. It presents an innovative approach to plan LAAO, based on the morphological
measurements of the patient acquired along the LAA centreline extracted from CT images.
Following these measurements, the platform suggests 2-3 device sizes of user’s desired position.
The platform currently suggests device sizes for the Amplatzer AMULET and Watchman device.
The developed platform offers a wide variety of functionalities that cover the requirements listed
by the clinicians involved in the project:

Olivares, Jordi• 3D Visualization of LA morphology;• Visualization of CT images on the web;• Visualization and computation of the morphological measurements that characterize patients’ LAA;• LAAO device proposal in user-defined position;• List of all patients and possibility to select the patient in which the planning is going tobe done;• Access restriction to the platform and to the visible patients;• Manual annotation of the morphological regions used for LAAO planning (i.e. circumflex,PVR, ostium and landing zone) from the CT image or the 3D LA mesh;• RAO-LAO definition.
