Analysis of Biomedical Data

I received my BSc degree in Telecommunications Engineering in 2011 from the University of Alicante (Spain), and my MSc in Biomedical Engineering from both the University of Valencia and the Polytechnic University of Valencia (Spain) in 2013. I finished my M.Sc. with a stay in ARTORG Center for Biomedical Engineering Research of the University of Bern (Switzerland), where I collaborated with the Cardiovascular Engineering research group focusing mainly on signal processing. In December 2013 I started to work as a researcher in training at the Department of Information and Communication Technologies (UPF, Barcelona), collaborating with SIMBIOSYS and PhySense research groups. I started my Ph.D. in September 2014, dealing with Statistical Learning in the analysis of patients with heart failure, which I finished in September 2018. Afterwards, I worked as a postdoc researcher at IDIBAPS, developing machine learning tools, for the interpretation of echocardiographic images combined with several biomarkers from patients with different cardiovascular diseases. In May 2020, I joined Roche Pharma Spain to lead the Personalized Healthcare Strategy in Data Science. After a fruitful experience in the Pharma industry, I joined the BCNatal Fetal Medicine Research Center, to lead data science-related projects.
