The second Music Competition “Villa de Bilbao 2025” is part of the program “2M-Mathematics and Music”, directed by Luca Fanelli within the framework of the BILBOMATH project, resulting from the collaboration between the City Council of Bilbao and BCAM. The main objective of the competition is to promote mathematical and musical culture and stimulate the musical development of young pianists and violinists. It serves as a pedagogical tool to boost their artistic trajectories and create a space for gathering, where they can share concerns and musical experiences.

As part of the program, on June 27, Xavier Serra has been invited to present a panel on how to measure music expressivity on piano performance, together with Patricia Ziyi Hu, Silvan Peter, and Gerhard Widmer (Institute of Computational Perception, Johannes Kepler Linz University, Austria)
