Refree collaborated again with the Groove Transformer in an organ concert at Palau Güell
In the show, last November 21st, participated the researchers Behzad Haki, Nicholas Evans, and Sergi Jordà
The concert series Orgànic, organized by Palau Güell in Barcelona, is a unique sound experience showing the interaction of renowned artists with Palau's organ.
Last November 21st, the musician, composer, and producer Raül Refree teamed up with the organ as a source of inspiration to create new sound textures and melodic structures. His session called "Interleggere ad affectum" (read between emotions), proposed a dialogue between the feelings of an artist who creates a sound language and the interaction with an AI system, The Groove Transformer, which generates a sound response that also becomes emotional.
The Groove Transformer is a generative Neural Network that responds to the rhythmic inputs of human performers and accompanies them accordingly. It was created at the Music Technology Group by Behzad Haki, Nicholas Evans and Sergi Jordà.
Behzad Haki and Nicholas Evans also participated in the performance with Raül Refree.
