Rafael Ramírez invited speaker at the V International Conference of Music, Arts and Health CIMAS

The V International Conference of Music, Arts and Health CIMAS organized by the SEM-EE (Society for Musical Education of the Spanish State) in collaboration with the City Council of L'Alcora (Castellón, Spain), the L'Alcora Chair of Musical Research and Quality of Life, and the Jaume I University Research Group Q-HEART, takes place from June 20 to 21, at L'Alcora, Castellón (Spain). The conference focuses on music and art therapy as resources to improve people's lives, as well as the economy in terms of health and sustainability.
On June 20, Rafael Ramirez gives the invited talk "Intersecting Music, Medicine and Technology for Health and Well-Being", presenting his research in the field of music technology and wellbeing. Currently, Rafael is developing some projects in this area like "Music and Motion Sensing for Neurorehabilitation", focused on investigating novel music-based rehabilitation approaches in which patients control digital music instruments using motion capture sensors. Also the project "Musitopia", a digital health platform integrating neuroscience, music therapy, and AI to offer personalized musical interventions to improve mental health.
