Workshop on Audio & Music Signal Processing (pre-ICASSP 2026) - Call for Presentations
Workshop on Audio & Music Signal Processing (pre-ICASSP 2026) - Call for Presentations
Taking advantage of the fact that many audio and music researchers will be traveling to Barcelona to present their work at ICASSP 2026 (May 4–8, 2026), we are organizing a one-day, open workshop on Audio and Music Signal Processing at the Universitat Pompeu Fabra (UPF) on Saturday, May 2, 2026, just prior to the conference.
The workshop is conceived as an informal, open forum for sharing research that will be presented at ICASSP the following week. Its goal is to foster early discussion, community exchange, and interaction between ICASSP authors and the local research community in a relaxed academic setting.
Scope
We invite presentations covering all areas of audio and music signal processing, including (but not limited to): Audio analysis, synthesis, and coding; Music information retrieval; Machine learning and deep learning for audio and music; Spatial audio, acoustics, and sound perception; Creative and applied audio technologies.
Who should submit?
Researchers who:
-
Have a paper accepted for presentation at ICASSP 2026, and
-
Are interested in giving an additional, informal presentation of their work at UPF prior to the conference (the content of the presentation does not have to be 100% aligned with the paper(s) in ICASSP, and several papers can be merged into one presentation).
Format
-
Short oral presentations. Depending on the number of submissions, we might need to adjust presentation times (details on duration will be provided after selection).
-
No proceedings and no formal review process.
-
The workshop will be free and open to everyone, including students and external attendees.
