Executive Assistant to Director, Manifesta Biennal

Singer-songwriter, cultural manager, and communications specialist with a strong presence in both the music and cultural industries.

Born in Donostia - San Sebastián, she released her debut EP "Theorein" in 2018, followed by her first full-length album, "Hemen Berriro" (2023), which blends pop, soul, and electronic influences. Her single "Hiri Ilunen Umeak" earned a nomination for Best Song in Basque by the Spanish Music Academy, marking a new phase in her career. Her upcoming album, also titled "Hiri Ilunen Umeak", will be released in June 2025, produced by Jon Agirrezabalaga (El Tigre Estudio).

Alongside her music career, Sara has extensive experience in cultural management and communications. She is currently the Executive Assistant to the Director of Manifesta 15 Barcelona, coordinating executive operations, strategic planning, and institutional relations. Previously, she was Head of Communications at the Basque Maritime Museum and Project Coordinator at K6 Gestión Cultural, managing high-profile cultural events and outreach initiatives. She has also contributed to the San Sebastián International Film Festival and worked in arts management at Artingenium S.L.

Sara holds a BA in Global Studies from Universitat Pompeu Fabra (Barcelona) and an MA in Cultural & Creative Industries from King’s College London, with academic experience at Université de Montréal. She is fluent in Basque, Spanish, English, and French, with proficiency in Catalan. With a multifaceted career spanning music and cultural industries, Sara continues to shape the artistic and cultural landscape.
