Before leaving

Draw up the initial study agreement with the subjects you intend to take at your host university. The study agreement is the document that establishes the relationship between the subjects that you propose to take at your host university and their correspondence with UPF subjects. 

  • It must be completed and submitted before leaving on exchange, i.e. once you have obtained your place.

    Calendar for submitting the Academic Agreement:
    - If you are leaving in the first semester, the last day to present the agreement is 4 July 2025.
    - If you are leaving in the second semester, the last day to present the agreement is 24 October 2025.
     
  • To make the agreement you can consult the list of homologated subjects. If they do not appear on the list, please consult the exchange tutor.
  • The coordinator must approve the agreement. You must print it out and bring it to the Secretary's Office (office 20.273) or send it by mail to the secretary (the person who contacted you) or to the address of your assigned mobility tutor, depending on your destination:

  • Click on the Student Agreement tab to go to the page where the agreement is drawn up. Note that at the top of the page there is a progress bar that indicates which section you are in.

SUBJECT CODES
In these links you will find the codes of all UPF subjects:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Humanities: In the Bachelor's Degree in Humanities we have a double catalogue of subjects. If during your Intercanvis stay you take them in a language other than English, you must indicate in your agreement the codes of the UPF subjects in Catalan. If, on the other hand, you take the subjects in English, you will need to indicate the UPF codes in English.
     
  • Global Studies Degree:
    - Remember that you must pass at least 20 ECTS.
    - You can take subjects with a Global Orientation profile.
    - Languages and theoretical subjects (philosophy, etc.) do not count as Global Orientation.
    - A maximum of 6 ECTS credits can be recognised for language learning.
     
  • Degree in Humanities codes in Catalan

During your stay

  1. Send the certificate of arrival to the OMA.

  2. You can change subjects in the study agreement. You have the first 4 weeks to change subjects.

  3. The agreement with the changes of subjects must be approved again by the tutor.

  4. Print out the Learning Agreement and send it to the secretary's office, signed by you and signed and stamped by the host university, every time you make changes.

If you have applied for an exchange place or if you plan to apply for it in the future, remember that you will have to complete some procedures with a digital certificate.

On your return

  1. Send the certificate of departure to the OMA.
  2. Fill in the evaluation questionnaire.
  3. Send the qualification certificate to the Secretary's Office of the Faculty of Humanities ([email protected])

When we receive the confirmation, we will add the subjects to your transcript.

Failure to submit the documentation implies NOT incorporating the subjects you have taken.

Important

  • In all the degrees the minimum number of credits to be taken and passed is 15 ECTS.
  • Global Studies students must take 20 mobility credits.
  • If you are a general scholarship holder, you must meet the enrolment credit requirement.
