Goal

This Work Package, led by NOVA University Lisbon and bo-led by University of Gothenburg, focuses on developing shared services and tools that can increase efficiency and contribute to the construction of EUTOPIA as a confederal alliance. The objective is to bring together, develop, and share tools and resources in EUTOPIA that can be used when and where needed to support projects and initiatives. It aims to provide support, facilitate mutual access to databases and collections, and drive inclusion of open-science practices across the Global Connected Communities. The initiative supports the implementation of several European initiatives such as Erasmus Without Paper, Green Erasmus, and the implementation of FAIR data principles.

  • The Tools for Engagement sub-work package is crucial as it will oversee the coordination of all activities and ensure they align with the overall objectives of EUTOPIA. This will involve developing effective communication strategies and channels to engage stakeholders, including students, staff, and society, in the development and implementation of shared tools and services.

    The sub-work package will also establish mechanisms for monitoring and evaluating the impact of the tools and services on the EUTOPIA community and identifying opportunities for improvement.

  • EUTOPIA plans to develop a strategic digitalization framework in a stepwise manner. They will survey the partners' digitalization concepts and identify common principles to develop a joint digitalization framework that proposes policy, infrastructure, and service action plans to address digital sovereignty, security, research data management, education, administration processes, and open science.

    The framework will embed in related European and international activities and rely on the preparatory work of establishing an Open Science Office by EUTOPIA 2050.

  • This working group aims to enhance and diversify mobility opportunities within EUTOPIA. It includes establishing a funding mechanism to support the development of Global Learning Communities, which will foster innovative and multidisciplinary approaches to education and research.

    The work package also focuses on improving access to mobility opportunities for underrepresented groups, promoting digital and virtual mobility, and streamlining administrative procedures to make mobility more accessible and efficient for EUTOPIA members. Through these efforts, it seeks to strengthen the EUTOPIA alliance and increase its international visibility and impact.

  • The EUTOPIA alliance aims to raise awareness among students and staff about their belonging to the alliance beyond their university affiliation. Promotion of EUTOPIA will be done internally and externally, with activities promoting study and research at EUTOPIA universities.

    This is, establishing a labelling of the educational offerings, creating student badges, labelling EUTOPIA faculty, providing additional services through a common EUTOPIA ID, and setting up houses. These activities aim to contribute to the emergence of the EUTOPIA College and EUTOPIA Global Institute on campuses.
