Pompeu Fabra University is once again joining the celebration of EUTOPIA Day 2026, a joint initiative of all universities that are part of the EUTOPIA alliance, which will take place on 13 May.

EUTOPIA in Action

This year’s edition will revolve around the theme “EUTOPIA in Action”, with the aim of highlighting all the activities, projects, and initiatives developed throughout the programme and showcasing the real impact of the alliance on university life. Beyond reflection, EUTOPIA Day seeks to become a space to make visible what is already being done and to encourage more members of the university community to actively join the project.

EUTOPIA Day is held simultaneously at all partner universities in the alliance. Each campus organises its own activities in both in-person and hybrid formats, allowing the entire EUTOPIA community to take part. In addition, the day includes a joint online activity aimed at students from all alliance universities, strengthening the collaborative and transnational dimension of the project.

The programme will include the following activities:

9:30 – 11:00 | EUTOPIA Community Networking Coffee (Jardí de les Aigües, Building Ramón Turró)

The Pati de Ramón Turró will host an exclusive networking coffee for the UPF EUTOPIA community, a meeting space to share experiences and build connections among UPF staff involved in the Alliance.

12:00 – 14:00 | Round table: Science Diplomacy in the current international scenario (ESCI-UPF Auditorium)

This session will bring together academics and institutional representatives to reflect on the role of science diplomacy in today’s international context.

The round table will be moderated by Dr. Mark Jeffery and will feature Professor Andrea Noferini from UPF and lead of the EUTOPIA Nominated Partnership Minerva, as well as representatives from the Catalan public administration and the European Commission. More information and registratiu here. 

15:30 – 16:30 | BEutopian: Want to experience studying in Europe? Join us and travel with EUTOPIA! | Mercè Rodoreda Auditorium
