The EUTOPIA alliance welcomes two new partners to its network of global partners: Universidad de los Andes (Colombia) and Arizona State University (United States). This way, EUTOPIA is broadening the number and territorial reach of its global alliances, adding up to six partners outside of Europe and expanding into North and South America.

The inclusion of these two universities adds to the current four partners of the alliance: Monash University (Australia), Université Internationale de Rabat (Morocco), Stellenbosch University (South Africa), and Kyungpook National University (South Korea).

As a consortium of higher education institutions with a global outlook, EUTOPIA seeks to benefit from collaboration with institutions outside of Europe. Therefore, EUTOPIA recognizes that the ambitions of European universities to address global challenges in an integrated world cannot be confined to our borders.

Arizona State University

Universidad de los Andes

On the other hand, the University of the Andes, founded in 1948, is an autonomous, independent, and innovative institution dedicated to pluralism, tolerance, and respect for ideas. It is the first private, secular, and politically independent higher education institution in Colombia. The university aims to provide students with a critical and ethical education, instilling a strong sense of social and civic responsibility. The University of the Andes has been a pioneer in Colombian higher education, with the goal of educating and contributing to the development of a new nation.
