The EUTOPIA MORE project celebrated the first Student Hackathon at Babes-Bolyai in Cluj Napoca, Romania, from April 15 to 19, 2024. The project envisions organizing several meetings twice a year for the next four years at various universities within the EUTOPIA alliance.

The Discovery Week has been dedicated to identifying and solving challenges (presented by 30 different Romanian companies and stakeholders) that have a tangible impact on our territories and direct effects on our lives in three main areas Sustainability and Circular Economy, Cybersecurity for small and medium-sized enterprises, and Artificial Intelligence and Health Economy.

A total of thirteen groups made up of 5-6 people from different universities have been created in order to work on the challenges through a new approach and using open innovation methodologies. Each group has tackled a specific challenge and has presented the result or product on the last day through a pitch session for which they have been trained during the week.
