Open Call for 3 PhD Positions – EuroMedMig PhD Network: Theme 4 – Economy and Labour Market

The EuroMedMig Marie Skłodowska-Curie PhD Network is now accepting applications for three fully funded PhD positions under Theme 4: Economy and Labour Market. These positions are part of a broader initiative to develop cutting-edge research on Mediterranean migration dynamics from an economic and labour market perspective.
We welcome applications from highly motivated candidates with backgrounds in social sciences, particularly in economics and political economy, migration studies, or related disciplines. Applicants are encouraged to apply to the position that best aligns with their academic profile and research interests, taking into account the specific requirements outlined for each PhD position.

PhD Candidate 10
Topic: Economy and Labour Markets in the framework of trans-Mediterranean interconnectivity
Host Institution: Université Mohammed V Rabat (in co-tutelle with another consortium university, to be determined)
PhD Candidate 11
Topic: Revisiting Theories of Economy and Labour Markets
Host Institution: Universitat Pompeu Fabra (in collaboration with the American University in Cairo)
PhD Candidate 12
Topic: Economy and Labour Markets at the Urban and Rural Interface
Host Institution: University of Sousse
Contract Conditions:

Theme 4 specifically explores how migration impacts economic structures and labour markets across both shores of the Mediterranean, integrating transnational, urban–rural, and theoretical perspectives.
