EuroMedMig is pleased to welcome Elettra Caló as a new Early Stage Researcher (ESR), filling PhD Position 10 within Theme 4: Economy and Labour Markets.

Hosted by the University of Liège and co-supervised by the Université Mohammed V de Rabat, Elettra’s doctoral research focuses on the Belgium–Morocco migration corridor. Her project examines how return preparedness shapes labour market reintegration and entrepreneurship among Moroccan return migrants from Belgium, offering a critical perspective on current reintegration frameworks.

Elettra holds degrees in Linguistic and Cultural Mediation and in Development and International Cooperation, with a specialisation in African studies and transnational mobility. As a Marie Skłodowska-Curie fellow, she brings a holistic, non-Eurocentric approach to migration and development, alongside experience in research, project coordination, and advocacy.

We warmly welcome Elettra to the EuroMedMig network and look forward to the valuable contributions her research will bring to our collective work on migration, labour markets, and Euro-Mediterranean interconnectivity.
