EuroMedMig PhD Network to Host Its Inaugural Icebreaker Event in Barcelona

The EuroMedMig PhD Network will gather for the first time next week, on 4–5 December 2025, for its inaugural Icebreaker Event at Universitat Pompeu Fabra (UPF), Ciutadella Campus. This two-day meeting will bring together PhD candidates, supervisors, partner institutions, associate partners, and advisory board members from across the Mediterranean region to officially launch the Network’s activities.

The programme includes:

  • Opening Lecture, open to all attendees
  • ESR Poster Presentations, where the 12 Early-Stage Researchers will showcase their initial research designs
  • A Research Lab on Ethics in Migration Research, led by Dr. Nena Mocnik and Dr. Evren Yalaz
  • A Strategic Coordination Roundtable with the consortium, advisory board, and associated partners
  • Presentations by associated partner institutions such as IOM, Eurac Research, IEMed, AUC, CERICMED, and UM5R
