On November 27, 2026, ECERM is organizing the conference Emotional Communities in the Medieval and Modern Worlds (XI-XVIII centuries).

The conference aims to explore the history of emotions—an emerging theoretical approach—spanning a broad chronological period from the Late Middle Ages to the Modern Era.

Presentations will be given by several group members affiliated with the UPF—Alexandre Coello de la Rosa, Linda Gale Jones, Aurora González Artigao, and Joan Pau Rubiés—along with associate members David Irving (UPF) and Oliver Laband. Mónica Bolufer (EUI) and Tomas Macsotay (UPF) will also participate.
