Imatge inicial -

In the context of the biodiversity crisis, biologists are compelled to establish synergies, within and beyond the field, to document and explain the origin and significance of biological diversity, to highlight the dramatic implications of its decay, and to propose global and local guidelines for its preservation and restoration.

In line with this spirit, the Biodiversity program at the Institute of Evolutionary Biology cordially invites you to the BiodIBErsity Day, to be held on May 22nd in Barcelona, at the CMIMA building. Esteemed evolutionary biologists, ecologists, and anthropologists from national and international institutions will present their pioneering research, including Elisabeth Hehenberger (BC CAS, IP), Arnaud Estoup (INRAE), Victoria Reyes-García (ICREA & ICTA-UAB), Pilar Domingo-Calap (UV), Aureliano Bombarely (IBMCP, CSIC-UPV), Sandra Nogué (UAB-CREAF), Josep Serra (IBB, CSIC-CMCNB), Blanca Figuerola (ICM-CSIC) and Pablo Librado (IBE: CSIC-UPF).

The BiodIBErsity Day will be enlivened with informal coffee and lunch breaks, as well as a concluding cocktail reception, all complementing the poster sessions that will surely catalyze fruitful discussions. Attendance and poster applications are free, but registration is required before 10th May through this registration form.

Given that the event has limited capacity, we will confirm your attendance by e-mail a few weeks prior to the event.

Please forward this information through your institution and to any other colleagues who may be interested. In the event of excess capacity, priority will be given in the order of registration.

We look forward to welcoming and hosting you!
