MOOC in Planetary Wellbeing (starting again November 2024)
The university has been working on the design of a MOOC entitled ‘Introduction to Planetary Wellbeing’. From April 2024 students can participate in this activity for 1 ECTS. Notice that after registering for this activity, if you want to recognize 1 ECTS, you need to apply for credit recognition here.

Change Makers: Social Impact Bootcamp
If you are between 18 and 30 years old, a student, and interested in innovation and social impact, this is your opportunity to participate in a unique experience. On October 25th and 26th, Pompeu Fabra University will host Change Makers: Social Impact Bootcamp, an intensive program designed to foster creativity and offer solutions to real social issues.
This Bootcamp will not only equip you with new skills to tackle current challenges in your community, but you'll do so with an innovative and social economy approach, working alongside local organizations. Additionally, if you're a UPF student, you can earn 2 RAC credits for your participation and have the chance to secure an internship.
What to expect during the Bootcamp?
Here’s a preview of what you can experience during this event:
Friday, October 25th (5:00 PM - 7:30 PM):
We will kick off the afternoon with a welcome and orientation session, where you’ll meet the other participants. There will be fun activities to break the ice and help you relax, while we explain the Bootcamp’s structure and objectives. Then, we will begin the divergence phase, where you'll explore creative ideas from multiple perspectives and propose innovative solutions.
Saturday, October 26th (9:00 AM - 6:00 PM):
The day will be dedicated to refining and implementing ideas. We’ll work in sessions aimed at shaping the projects to make them viable and applicable to real-world problems. You will also have time to prepare your elevator pitch, a concise presentation to pitch your idea to a jury and your peers. Finally, participants, mentor organizations, and the organizing team will vote for the best pitch, and the winners will receive a special prize.

Master's degree in Planetary Health (UOC-ISGlobal-UPF)
The Inter-University Master's Degree in Planetary Health aims to provide graduates with the skills necessary to promote health at global level while respecting the limits of the planet's natural systems, by analysing the challenges facing humanity that are linked to the global climate and environment crisis, designing solutions and implementing these solutions in our societies, from the respective areas of knowledge. Minor in Planetary Wellbeing
The principal objective of this course is to expand knowledge and to understand the complex, interrelated and systemic problems threatening human and animal wellbeing as well as the wellbeing of the planet itself as a global ecosystem. It aims to identify integrated, innovative and interdisciplinary solutions to these problems.
- Target: Students from UPF integrated centres and those holding UPF degrees registered on the Alumni programme.
- Characteristics: Students will have to choose from a range of diferents subjects and disciplines as well as student activities and events.
- Number of credits: To obtain the qualification, students must complete a minimum of 24 ECTS credits.
