25-26th October/ Change Makers: Social Impact Bootcamp
If you are between 18 and 30 years old, a student, and interested in innovation and social impact, this is your opportunity to participate in a unique experience. On October 25th and 26th, Pompeu Fabra University will host Change Makers: Social Impact Bootcamp, an intensive program designed to foster creativity and offer solutions to real social issues.
This Bootcamp will not only equip you with new skills to tackle current challenges in your community, but you'll do so with an innovative and social economy approach, working alongside local organizations. Additionally, if you're a UPF student, you can earn 2 RAC credits for your participation and have the chance to secure an internship.
What to expect during the Bootcamp?
Here’s a preview of what you can experience during this event:
Friday, October 25th (5:00 PM - 7:30 PM):
We will kick off the afternoon with a welcome and orientation session, where you’ll meet the other participants. There will be fun activities to break the ice and help you relax, while we explain the Bootcamp’s structure and objectives. Then, we will begin the divergence phase, where you'll explore creative ideas from multiple perspectives and propose innovative solutions.
Saturday, October 26th (9:00 AM - 6:00 PM):
The day will be dedicated to refining and implementing ideas. We’ll work in sessions aimed at shaping the projects to make them viable and applicable to real-world problems. You will also have time to prepare your elevator pitch, a concise presentation to pitch your idea to a jury and your peers. Finally, participants, mentor organizations, and the organizing team will vote for the best pitch, and the winners will receive a special prize.
This Bootcamp is part of the Ocell de Foc program, an initiative that promotes education and social impact among young people, giving them the tools to become change agents in their community.
