I am a postdoctoral researcher studying how our perception of reality is shaped during sleep and altered states of consciousness. During my PhD at Ruhr-Universität Bochum in collaboration with the Donders Institute (Radboud University), I investigated the intersection of lucid dreams, out-of-body experiences, and sleep paralysis, combining high-density EEG and micro-phenomenological interviews. In 2024, I joined the Istituto Giannina Gaslini in Genoa as a guest researcher, where I focused on polysomnography and sleep scoring of these states. Currently, I work at UPF applying thermodynamics-inspired methods to explore EEG dynamics underlying unusual bodily experiences during meditation and sleep.
