Golden Laus award for the UPF logo

The graphic designer Enric Satué was the author of the first logo and creator of the graphic identity of the University, winning him the Golden Laus award in February 1991 presented by the Association of Art Directors, Graphic Designers and Illustrators of the FAD. It powerfully emphasizes a capital U, for University, and uses red as a symbol of the youth and modernity of the institution. Two letters, a fringe and two dots, one on either side, give it an anthropomorphic quality representing the people who work and study side-by-side at the institution.
