A knowledge of history, thought, literature and art provides useful, and even essential, elements for a deeper and more strategic understanding of the contemporary world, which enrich and open new horizons for students from other degrees in a diverse range of fields.
This minor offers students specific knowledge as well as methodological approaches specific to the field of humanistic studies of history, thought, literature and art.
Students at UPF centres, students on the UPF Open Bachelor’s Degree programme and UPF graduates enrolled in the UPF Alumni programme, which meet the requirements for each subject.
Students on the degree in Humanities and the degree in Journalism (Humanities pathway) are excluded due to incompatibilities.

To obtain certification, students must have completed a minimum of 20 ECTS credits. Students can not include subjects that form part of their syllabus in the minor.
Of the total number of credits of the minor, only a maximum of 10 can form part of the student’s academic record. These credits will figure as free-elective cross-disciplinary training or as RAC credits, depending on the activity.
