Methodology in which students achieve subject competences by carrying out a civic responsibility project within a real social service, be it a company or an institution.

How does it work?

Service-learning is a methodology based on achieving significant learning connected to society, to address a real need that exists. Projects developed with this methodology, both for curricular and extracurricular activities, offer students cross-disciplinary educational experiences. Furthermore, they allow for a diversity of perspectives in relation to the university community (teaching staff and students in particular) and collaborating organisations.

Phases or Stages:

  1. Analysis of real-life situation
  2. Proposal of ideas and selection of one of these
  3. Project planning
  4. Project implementation
  5. Evaluation
